UPCOMING EVENTS at SWR.
1. February Handicap Triples.
A 2 bowl Mens Triples mini tournament held prior to Pennants as an Thursday evening event over 5 weeks. Members in uniform.
2. Australia Day.
A. 1 day Mixed Pairs Tournament of 2 matches of 15 ends. Vistors most welcome. Teams randomly drawn from single entries prior to start. BBQ and presentation after the games.
3. Sinders Shootout.
Coming soon to SW Rocks greens is the Sinders Shootout. This 2 day event is open to all players (male and female) whether they be club members , visitor members or social players.
The 2016 event is on Friday April 22nd.
Entry is $90/team. The event is 3 matches of 2 bowl triples. It is primarily a social event to commemorate the passing of Don. Sinderberry and Jake Cameron.
A feature of the event is the “Shootout” on Day 2. Here each player will have 1 attempt to roll an old bias bowl of Don’s diagonally across the green from corner to corner. The closest to the mark will receive $500.
Lunch is included.
4. Easter Events.
April 28th – Easter Saturday Mens Pairs, Nominated entry. 1 match of 21 ends 4 bowl pairs
April 29th – Easter Sunday Mixed Pairs, Nominated entry. 3 matches of 13 ends 3 bowl pairs. Lunch included.
Both days – Entry is $10/player.
5. Anzac Day.
Saturday April 25th
6. The Trial Bay Triples.
2 days of Mens Triples on Saturday-Sunday in June with teams playing for $3500 prizemoney. 5 matches of 18 ends with lunch provided each day.
Play in 2017 commences on Saturday June 10th.
7. The Ingenia Holidays Monday Pairs.
Monday July 31st and also Monday September 18th. Each day has 3 games of 15 end 3 bowl pairs with $1500 prizemoney.
8. The Trial Bay Classic Pairs.
3 days of Mens Pairs bowls on Tues-Thursday at the end of August. 32 invited teams playing for $10000 prizemoney. 8 matches of 15 ends with lunch each day provided. Entry applications to the Club President.
8. District – Zone Championships Playoffs
In 2016 SWR hosts the Senior InterZone Trial (March 13th), the LNC Triples ( May 28), the LNC Senior Singles ( June 25) and the Zone 14 Junior Singles, Pairs and Fours (date to be confirmed).
