WOMEN’S SOCIAL COMPETITIONS

The ladies social play times are :

THURSDAY Play commences at 9.45 am, names in by 9.00 am

SATURDAY Play commences at 1.00 pm, names in by 12.00 noon

Both days are in club uniform or creams. Visitors are very welcome.

Play is usually pairs or triples depending on entry numbers.

Sheets for name entry are on the notice board outside the Bowls Office. Phone entry can be made on 65665143 an hour before play.

Lady bowlers are also welcome to join the men in their weekly bowls events which are open gender.

TUESDAY Open Pairs, play starts at 1.00 pm, names in by 12.00 noon.

WEDNESDAY Open Pairs, play starts at 1.00 pm (2.00pm during daylight saving), names in by 12.00 noon

FRIDAY Open Pairs/Triples, play starts at 1.00 pm, names in by 12.00 noon

SUNDAY Open Pairs/Triples Chook Run, play starts at 9.30 am, names in by 9.00 am

Play with the men on these days is in casual bowls attire with bowls shoes.

COACHING

If you would like to learn to play bowls or to improve your skills further to be more consistent our coaches are available to assist. Ian Robbins is Head Coach of the club. You can contact him by email in the Contacts Section or by phoning the club on 65665143 on play days to leave a message. The club has 2 female and 5 male coaches available.

A skills session involving the coaches is also run on Tuesdays at 11.00 am. All are welcome to meet Sue and Judy (coaches) and join in the session.

SW ROCKS continues to do well in the 2018 PENNANT COMPETITION - 5's lead the competition with 6's and 7's close in second place.

The entry sheet for the 2018 Major - Minor Pairs championship has been posted on the noticeboard with play to start after Pennant competition. The Triples competition woll commence after the Trial Bay Classic Pairs.

Newer bowlers will soon be able to enter into the 2018 State Rookies Competition. Play in Singles and Pairs is scheduled for September.

From Saturday 10th March all club prizes for social play and in club event.s will be paid in Club Money Vouchers will can be used for any in club purchase or "banked" on the members club card for use within the current financial year.

A NON-SMOKING POLICY HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED.

All bowlers are requested not to smoke on the greens and immediate surrounds (including seating at green edge) in consideration of all other bowlers.

The renovation program of our greens have produced excellent surfaces with many positive comments from club and visiting bowlers directed to our greens staff. All members are expected to treat the greens with respect with regard their deliveries and care around the ditch when stepping on/off the green.
