 2015 PENNANT SUCCESS

The Ladies fielded 3 Pennant Sides in 2015, the 2’s, 3’s and 4’s.

The 4’s almost made the Region Final unfortunately losing at the final hurdle.

The 2’s and 3’s moved into the regional finals after practising against the Men.

The South West Rocks Women’s Bowling Club Grade 2 Pennant Team won at the Regional Playoffs held at North Haven on 18 & 19 May 2015.

At the Regional Playoffs the Macleay, Hastings Haven and Lower North Coast Districts played off for opportunity to contest the State Pennants at the South Coast on 17 August 2015.   Our ladies played North Haven and had a 2 rink win and a one rink win against Wingham.

2015 SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Laurelle and Barbara played strongly throughout the Singles Championship and deserved their places in the final.

Laurelle survived a scare in the semi-final and had to play an amazing bowl to stop her opponent, Jennifer Foskett, from running her down in the last end.

In the final Laurelle showed her experience to prevail over Barb. Adams. Victory this year makes it Singles Champion SIX Times for Laurelle, a commendable achievement in any club.

Unfortunately there had to be a Runner-Up and for the third time Barb. has come up one game short to be bridesmaid again. A very consistent bowler who happens to playing at the same time as a true champion.

 

2015 MAJOR PAIRS.

The 2015 Final was held recently between the two Jans and the McEnally – Lusby team.

After the dust settled Jan Notley and Jan Kesby came out in front to take the 2015 title.
