The PETER COLEMAN TROPHY – SOUTH WEST ROCKS COUNTRY CLUB MENS BOWLING CLUB

Throughout the bowling year (January 1st to mid December) members of the Mens and Womens Bowling Clubs shall earn points which accumulate towards the award of

The PETER COLEMAN TROPHY at the Yearly Xmas Function/Awards Day.

Points shall be earned through participation and results gained in a number of areas which would include :

  1. Mens Weekly Social Competitions, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Saturday.

  2. Special Events,eg, Jan. Triples, Australia Day, Business House, Sinders Shootout,Handicap Events

Proposed points Schedule.

1.         Weekly Social Competitions   .

                                      4 pts for 1st  place per player        *4,2 pts if 2 matches only

                                      3 pts for 2nd place per player        *4,3,2 pts if 3 matches

                                      2 pts for 3rd place per player         *4,3,2,1 pts if 4 or more 

                                      1 pt for 4th place per player             matches

Points based on match results. Lucky losers do not receive points. 1 point for participation.

2.         Special Events,           January Triples, Aus. Day, Easter

            1 point gained for entry and play in any event per day, ie, 2 day event =2 pts

            4 pts for 1st  place per player,  3 pts for 2nd place per player

            2 pts for 3rd place per player,   1 pt for 4th place per player

Points based on match results. Lucky losers do not receive points.

                                                Business House Series, Handicap Events

             1 point gained for play in each sectional round, plus

             1 point gained for each win in the subsequent finals series, plus

             4 pts for 1st  place per player 3 pts for 2nd place per player

             2 pts for 3rd place per player               1 pt for 4th place per player

             eg, Bus. House        play 4 rounds, win 1 of 2 finals (come 8th) = 4 + 1 = 5 pts

                                           play 5 rounds, win main final = 5 + 2 +4 = 11 points
